Sacred Disobedience a Jungian Analysis of the Saga of Pan and the Devil with Dr. Sharon Coggan

In this episode, I speak with Dr. Sharonn Coggan, recently retired professor and founder of the Religious Studies program at the University of Colorado, Denver, and author of Sacred Disobedience A Jungian Analysis of the Saga of Pan and the Devil. In our discussion, Sharon introduces us to the Greek God Pan and the universe of meaning inherent in the archetypal complex of this ornery, rebellious and joyful nature god. She also discusses Jung’s theory of consciousness, with a special focus on the archetype of the shadow and the process of individuation as demonstrated in the hero's journey.
